Helfgott, 54, Cleveland, Ohio, were charged in eleven-count superceding indictment charging them with one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud, wire fraud, and securities fraud; one count of securities fraud; one count of wire fraud; one count of money laundering; and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering resulting from defrauding investors in an extensive “Ponzi” scheme.
